He was born in 1975, in Dalaman. After graduating from Izmir Fen High School, he entered Hacettepe University Medical Faculty English Department. After that, in 1999, he went on to complete his specialist training in eye diseases at Isparta Süleyman Demirel University Medical Faculty in 2000. Since then he has worked at Fethiye Private Lokman Hekim Esnaf Hospital. During and after specialisation both in Turkey and abroad he has attended courses and training sessions in many reputable eye clinics. He speaks English and German. He has been published both national and international journals. He is a member of the European Cataract and Refractive Surgery Association and of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association. He is married with two children.
